Kalan credits her paternal grandparents for establishing her passion for helping seniors and their families. Growing up in a close knit family in a small farming community, Kalan spent as much time with her grandparents as possible and knew her love for her grandparents helped her discover her career path assisting seniors with rehabilitation.

During her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Kalan volunteered at a local skilled nursing and assisted living community with specific focus on the Activities & Therapy Departments. Following graduation with her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health, Kalan went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University and graduated in 2020. She started her career working as an Outpatient Physical Therapist prior to transitioning to traveling physical therapy, completing travel contracts in various settings between West Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Most recently, Kalan worked in home health as a Physical Therapist and has gained knowledge & familiarity with many of the senior living communities/senior care resources in the area. With 5 years of rehabilitation knowledge, Kalan is a welcome addition to the team at Golden Girls Solutions.

Outside of work, Kalan enjoys spending time with her significant other and their dogs, Orangetheory fitness, snowboarding, coffee, and traveling.
